Quick Question: How many times have you tried to change, tried to be different, tried to live a new life, but everytime you think you've almost got it down, something happens? And you say, "Why do I keep on trying?" Don't worry, I'm not perfect either. Fact is; the Bible tells us "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." So does that mean, that we don't have to be perfect? Well, yes and no. You see, being perfect doesn't mean that I have to have my life together, and it doesn't mean that I have to quit trying, it just means that I have to continue to strive to be more like Christ. The Bible says in Romans 6:1, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?" In other words, as Christ died for our sin, we should strive to walk in newness of life. That's why Jesus came - to give us a second chance, a new life. Jesus loved us so much, that He came to die for us, to take all our sins and all our shame and all our guilt to the cross - for us. And that my friends, should give us a reason to keep trying.
